The Lovers card depicts the blissful union of two souls; a bond established on deep love. Opposites united. The Lovers card is mainly about intoxicating emotions. The card is infused with passionate energy. It’s about desire, love, intimacy and sexuality. This card often appears when we in or are thinking about a new romance, making or wanting to make love, and having feelings of adoration for another. The Lovers is a card of choices and can indicate when we are or when we want to be in more than one affectionate relationship. Although this scene of rapture is portrayed as blessed, we are reminded that there exists the possibility of sad endings despite the best of starts. Ethical or moral choices and struggles with temptation are often indicated by this card.
