The juggler here keeps everything is in constant motion, and under his control. He is open to new opportunities yet is mindful of what new projects he is able or not able to take on at this time. He manages this by maintaining harmony and staying focused on his own well being in the midst of progressive change. He is playful, flexible and allows the natural flow of things to guide him. He trusts that the choices he makes and the actions he takes in relation to them will keep him on his higher path provided he maintains balance.

Yes, the Lemniscate. Currently, I am taking an algebra class. 38 years old and I find myself 22 years later relearning algebra. God help me... Anyway, I have learned that when writing a solution set in interval notation one will use this illustrious,geometrical and mathematical symbol to represent infinity. Instead of concentrating on solution sets and inequalities, I found myself thinking about the Tarot cards that clearly highlight this symbol -The Magician, Strength and the Two of Pentacles. Perhaps lack of focus on math is an indication as to why I didn't learn algebra as a teen? Upon the precipice I stand, ready to step into the unknown (0 Fool). My will (I Magician) and my intuition (II High Priestess), my creativity (III Empress), and my reason (IV Emperor) are all present within me. Tradition (V Hierophant) and choice (VI Lovers) are part of me as well, as I charge triumphant (VII Chariot) with quiet and fixed determination (VIII Strength).

I contemplate (IX Hermit) the paths I have taken and the changes (X Wheel of Fortune) of my life, both the highs and the lows as I reflect on my aspirations (XI Justice), sacrifices (XII Hanged Man), and endings (XIII Death). Blending and balancing (XIV Temperance) my material nature (XV Devil), looking at my destructive or penetrating insights (XVI Tower), while maintaining my hopes (XVII Star) can be a challenge.

Self-doubts and motivations that are hidden (XVIII Moon) haunt me until I can consciously recognize and illuminate (XIX Sun) them. Great awakenings (XX Judgment) and awareness bring the true reward (XXI World). And at the end of the journey once more becoming childlike and innocent (0 Fool), I begin my journey again, back where I had started, poised at the edge of the precipice.

This is a card about suspension and sacrifice. Sometimes the best thing to do about something is to do nothing at all for the time being. If we can allow ourselves to be serene and surrender to the conditions at hand we give ourselves the chance to receive wisdom and know truth. When we are at a cross roads and don’t quite know what to do it is precisely then that we should stop, drop and just hang out. The Hanged Man tells us that when we stop struggling and let go we actually move ourselves father than where we would have gotten trying to force things. It is a time to calm down, slow down and let things just happen instead of interfering. Forget about the outcomes. When we deliberatley accept and put ourselves in a vulnerable position, we will see things in a whole new way. This card tells us to surrender all our hopes, aspirations, and judgments, step back for a bit and trust that the answers and solutions we seek will be revealed in the proper time. It is a time to just BE and not DO. When we are this, we open ourselves to genuine illumination. As for sacrifices, it is giving up something we already hold for something we desire. This change however, is hollow unless there is a balanced objective behind it.

Wow, I haven't blogged in a long time... I've had a very hard fall and winter has been interesting to say the least. I've been working with the Tarot, pulling daily draws doing lots of readings mostly about a specific issue. I've had a lot of nine of swords and three of swords days these past months. This particular issue of mine has forced me to examine and feel a lot. It's been heavy. And I know that all of this is truly a gift and I need to grow and learn some things here. I haven't quite figured out the lessons yet but I've worked through a lot of really positive cards, had little “victories” and experienced some really wonderful things. There have been some instants where everything just came together and some where it seemed just so dark. I must say that the universe really does work magic and magic has a price. It's just something I need to work through I guess...Justice...I get that card a lot. I've written privately about it to work through these thoughts and feelings and in the meantime I've neglected my little blog. So, before it does get dark (and I hope the sun will stay out), today I feel like I can at least try to get back into the swing of things. So I guess it's fitting that my daily card for today was the six of wands.

This card heralds some sort of victory just gained or one on its way provided that we keep trying and work towards winning what it is we want. Everything we’ve worked for is finally within reach. It can be a card of triumph over ourselves, our environment or the odds. It asks us to trust our instincts and be confident in our abilities to achieve what it is we desire. It is a card of reaping the benefits of and feeling true accomplishment.

The Fool

In the same way that we "imprint" our reflection in water, the unconscious is fixed to the universe. As we tap into the cosmos, the cosmos taps us back and visa versa. It is a returning of what has been given us. Racheal Pollack explains “The universal life energy has been stirred up by the act of pouring the persons own life waters into it” This card is about being the instrument of universal wisdom and guidance. This card symbolizes worry, suffering, and despair. The woman in this card is so terribly troubled and tortured that she wakes at night unable to escape her own overwhelming thoughts. Whether it is depression, fear, or guilt, she is experiencing brutal emotional turmoil. She just wants a long sobbing cry. It’s the kind of total agony and inner anquish that just won’t go away. Whatever the source of our sorrows and however real they are, they are embers that are kept alive by our constant focus on them. We relight them, we burn them, we churn them. Since this card doesn’t always indicate a major difficulty, it may be reflecting our response to troubles. It's about how our thinking affects our feelings and the ways we cope with crisis. This card can also herald difficult times ahead if the we continue in the current direction. It is a caution for us to examine our choices and actions. When this card appears, it indicates a lot of inner tension that needs to be redirected and converted to positive and constructive energy.
